the legend
This makes me so happy, and yet so sad.
He was smart, he was a writer (you could tell by his phrasing) and this is something he TRULY cares about. That boy has a heart and he cares. He sees the truth for what it is and he refuses to sit idly and watch as the youth of america just stumbles by.
BUT the teacher was done. She didn’t care. She was fed up.
BUT the students were uncaring, even laughing, as this young man walked out
BUT this video was put online to be deemed as a joke and embarrass that boy.
THAT is unexceptionable
THAT is not right.
If you are this young gentleman if you are his relative, or if you have ever done something similar.
I am so proud of you
To take your opinion and share. NOT ONCE did he threaten her, NOT ONCE did he raise his voice above a proper projection so that the class could hear his words NOT ONCE did he insult her in any means past how she was behaving with her job. He didn’t undermine her. He didn’t hurt her, and yet he gave his message and left in peace.
That makes him a true, undeniable, super hero in my eyes.
Thank you sir.
I hope this person continues to be so fucking awesome and if they ever find out about this video, that they’ll see how many people agree with them and just generally think they’re a goddamn boss
I kinda wanna punch the guy who filmed him for snickering
This kid is seriously amazing and he’s beyond right. I work in high schools and I see what he’s pointing out day after day. Some teachers care and want to inspire, others just hand in packets of endless info or do powerpoints for kids to fill in but don’t actually teach.
I hope this student gets the recognition he deserves—as a good and dedicated student.
I will forever reblog this.
“Never think that you have to have your life planed out in front of you. Choose a door and walk through. Through that door, you will find more, and can choose again. Life is always moving, why stay in one spot for the whole ride?” -B.B.D.
I am seriously outraged right now. I went into school today and was sent to the principal’s office not even 5 minutes inside the building. I was asked if I had any other clothes with me to which I responded I did not and was told I would NOT be sent to my classes if I didn’t call someone to come bring me clothes.
I refused.
I told her that my mother is the only one who lives with me and that she was at work and could not come bring me clothes.
To which she responded
“Well I’m not sending you to your classes like that, you can come into my office and do some work but unless we get a parental figure to come bring you clothes you will not be going to class, it’s too much of a distraction and offensive to your fellow students.”
excuse me but what is so offensive about my shorts. I have worn this outfit numerous times during the school year, and only now that it has started to get nice outside have they been stricter on what the girls in this high school wear.
DO YOU KNOW HOW HOW IT FUCKING IS OUTSIDE.
The office called my mom and told her that “my way of dressing could be offensive or distracting to the students and most importantly, the teachers.”
I’m a junior in high school, but just because i’m a junior does NOT MEAN I WILL STAND FOR YOUR BULLSHIT SLUT-SHAMING AND SEXIST DRESS CODE.
Instead of telling the girls to feel victimized and shamed for what they wear, like tell your shitty staff to stop being such perverts and to look away and seriously, if they have such issues with my clothing that they can’t help themselves then why are you allowed to be a teacher in the first place.
My body is not something to be ashamed of, and I will not “change” to fit into your shit society of misogynistic ideals.
I will. wear. what. I choose.
here’s what I think about your shit dress code:

Have you noticed the Mosquitos are already out! Here is a homemade trap to help keep you and the kiddos from being a blood donor!!!
HOMEMADE MOSQUITO TRAP:
Items needed:
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 gram of yeast
1 2-liter bottle
HOW:
1. Cut the plastic bottle in half.
2. Mix brown sugar with hot water. Let cool. When cold, pour in the bottom half of the bottle.
3. Add the yeast. No need to mix. It creates carbon dioxide, which attracts mosquitoes.
4. Place the funnel part, upside down, into the other half of the bottle, taping them together if desired.
5. Wrap the bottle with something black, leaving the top uncovered, and place it outside in an area away from your normal gathering area. (Mosquitoes are also drawn to the color black.)REBLOGGING BECAUSE IMPORTANT
